Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Felt Insulted by Joe Biden’s ‘Fist Bump’: Donald Trump

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud recently told his associates that he is no longer interested in pleasing the United States, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. The geopolitical shift in power is a concern for Joe Biden’s presidency as several countries are ignoring the United States.
Biden met MBS in Saudi last year and gave the Crown Prince a fist bump instead of a handshake. Former President Donald Trump said in a recent interview with Fox’s Tucker Carlson that the Saudi Prince felt insulted by Biden’s policies and therefore refused to give him a handshake.

Biden criticized MBS’s role in the killing of Washington Post journalist and political opponent Jamal Khashoggi. The President previously denounced Saudi Arabia as a “pariah” and didn’t regret using the term to describe the oil-rich nation. Trump said that Saudi Arabia wanted to help the U.S. but Biden insulted the Crown Prince with his choicest words.
“You take a look at Saudi Arabia, look at what happened. They are great people, they wanted to help us. He (Biden) goes over there… he (MBS) gets a fist bump. You know the fist bump means don’t shake my hand because your hand’s dirty. They (Saudis) were so insulted, do you understand that? Oh I don’t want to shake your hands, let’s go fist bump,” said Trump.

Saudi Arabia is now seeking to join BRICS to bypass the U.S. dollar to settle international trade agreements. BRICS nations are aiming to create a new currency to pay for global trade in a native or new currency. The coalition countries are trying to distance themselves from the dollar dominance and create a new financial system.

Trump also took a dig at France’s President Emmanuel Macron for siding with China on the international stage. France and China recently settled an LNG gas trade by paying with the Chinese Yuan, instead of the U.S. dollar. “Macron over in China kissing Xi’s a** – and then Biden got a fist bump from the Saudis. Which means don’t shake my hand your hands are dirty,” said the former President.
